For anyone interested...I was able to order the 2 gasket type things that sit on top of the offset mount, and under the cleaner housing, from www.factorychryslerparts.com

1 SLIDER , SPACER. 1982-86. J3241389 $0.68
1 GASKET, GASKET, Air Cleaner Mounting to Bracket. J3234485 $9.12

They have a nice selection of the hard to find small bits and pieces...such as the pieces mentioned, the valve cover mount, stud, sliding nut, ect

Sorry to bump this thread but Looking for this domed shaped gasket too. Anyone made one at home and can share some pics or info.

Reviving an old thread.
1. Does anyone have a source for the plastic domed shaped spacer that the teardrop style OEM air cleaner sits on (used for power brakes)?
2. Any examples or suggestions for a home made version?

If someone gave me dimensions, I could probably print some up.

Hard part to find to say the least.
I can offer to take measurements of mine and post them and maybe someone with a 3D plastic printer could make it.

That would be terrific Keith. It is an elusive part and I haven't figured out how to make an "almost OEM" version.

Thanks Keith, do you know the thickness at the edges.

John, what material would you use that would stand up to an engine compartment environment?

I just scored the OEM air cleaner (for under $5000!) and am looking for the hardware. I have the bracket that goes on the rocker cover.

As we speak of the OEM air cleaner, I am asking what carb was OEM for 4.2 in 1981, No brake boost, 4 spd manual? Bought '81 CJ5 and has a Weber carb with one of those little crap filters and chrome clips to hold it on. If I can find a cold air system to fit it, carb not too bad and will rebuild unless I can replace Weber with more of an OEM type to have complete system right.
Oh, and no emissions stuff possible so would cap/plug any of that as charcoal canister not connected from PO x 1-2-4 (?) no telling for sure, just working with what I have now!

I believe either a Carter BBD or an MC2100/MC2150 would have been stock in '81. Both are in the later shop manual but I never paid attention to which one was used based on engine and options.
