Need New Wiper Linkage for my 86 CJ 7

Did a search and couldn't find anything. I need to replace my wiper linkage. Who is better, Crown or Omix? Or is there another, better manufacturer out there?

Find a used OEM set, much better than the new replacements.

Crown and Omix Ada are competitors, Omix Ada having a larger grange and Crown not being quite as bad quality.

They source parts worldwide so if Willys parts, probably India, metalwork the Philippines, rubber bits Indonesia etc. To say they only supply Chicomm crap is wrong, i have seen the origin data in the shipping documents and it is made all over the world.

You can get the Crown kit for about $80. It is original pattern and fairly simple stamped metal. It just seems a lot for two rods, two pivots and some nuts. there is one on Ebay at the moment for only $30 new.

The Omix Ada I have seen come with the wipers as well and retails about $100.

There is also a USA made alternative with some very sexy rods but it is around $180. How they expect to sell any I do not know, but perhaps people spend a lot of time watching wipers.

They often crop up on eBay used, but they must be made of gold. The prices are incredible for 40 year used bits of steel.

BagusJeep lives in Bali with far too many 4x4s:
