I used some off of a YJ tub. They have the water tight connections on them too. Then I lined them with some white reflective tape and they really are bright.

I don’t know if you want to cut your tub. I purchased round led semi truck taillights that use a rubber grommet in the hole I cut to hold them. No more broken and torn off own taillights.

Keep us updated, I would like to see how this turns out. I frequently get beeped at when I pull over to let someone go (that is tailing me). I don't think they can see my blinker. I am positive it works, i have tested it a 1000's times. With the current OEM taillights if the sun hits it in just the right way I don't think you can see the light if its on.

When mine first arrived, I compared them side by side with the stock ones.
The old one would light up a wall, these would light up the whole room when pointed at the same wall.

These are so bright, they actually start to hurt your eyes when you look directly in them.

I picked "Low to high" and "80 per page"

This really covers a lot of ground!

Look at the sides and bottom too.

I found this works well if you can keep your search "Specific" and as short as possible. Otherwise you get swamped with crap you don't want, you'll get a fair amount of it regardless!

Do you need the whole housing? If not, it would be MUCH cheaper to just get LED bulbs. There's a thread on here somewhere with part numbers to use at SuperbrightLED website.

The jeep has brand new paint and bedliner. It is too nice to put the 30 year old plastics on it. Had to buy all new housings.

Those look good and great price but no side marker though. Need that to continue the oem look of an 1983.

Did the oem tail lights come with side markers on a '78?

I think they had rear side lights until 1980 them they were integrated into the tail light.

I think Lights in the first post from Quadratec have integrated side lights. And plugs.
