If it wasn't driven in the winter....please explain the Christmas tree on top? Christmas in July?

"I could kick your a$$" - most likely since I would either be uncontrollably laughing or crying at your jeep. Maybe that was added due to the extreme levels of heckling received? Is this just an baseless assumption? Is it a 50/50 chance? 20/80? I need something more definitive here. Like "If you laugh at my ride, I will attempt to kick your a$$". This would be a more accurate statement.

Yes, and if the seller wants 10 GRAND for that thing, he/she'd better take 10 minutes out of their day to actually provide the details.

Yeah we've clearly seen this one before. I love how they consider it "new" but it has 586 miles on it, the engine has rust spots all over it, and the underside also has rust. The seller's statement, "This Jeep went from the show room floor to a temperature controlled paid storage area for 35 years." implies that it was never driven, but clearly that's false. Yes it looks to be in overall great condition, but you still have to look past those ugly pin strips and other cosmetic embellishments. Throwing in the old newspaper stories and plastic promotional items from the Jeep dealership doesn't make it worth the asking price, even if the old guy is included.

I also noticed this. Observe the over spray in the photo below. I don't know enough about new CJs to know if the factory would have done over spray like this, or if this is a sign that the engine has been repainted. Why would the factory paint the engine after the throttle return springs had been installed?

Maybe the Jeep covered itself in shame.

I don't know what these represent but the hinges are not OEM. There is no counter sink for the bolts.

I do remember those 8 track players with the slide out mounts...

Good catch. EVvry time I see the pic of the old guy in the driver's seat, I have to laugh. I probably shouldn't laugh because that will probably be me in a few years. Yet, I still laugh.

This is probably what most JF members visualize when they think of the CJ forum.

Isn't that Willem Dafoe?

I had those tires on my 1977 CJ-7 back in the day....Goodyear Wrangler RT's 31 x 13.50 x 15. Those were great tires. I wish they still made them....
