Help to ID this carb

I get offerred miscellaneous Willys parts from time to time. I scored a used transmission and transfer box for a CJ3A in great condition for $150 last month, the new clutch cost more. Now the vendor is offering a carb he swears is for a Ford GPW.

It looks like a carb from a manifold of a L134 or F134 and is old but I cannot identify the make or type.

Any ideas?

Not a Carter YF series or possibly a clone?

All he can tell me is that it is a NOS carb for a Willys. Frankly, if I ran my stores that way and my stock was more OLD than NEW when I issued it, I would be ashamed.

It does have a vague air of Crater YF about it, but I am not aware they produced Chinese labels. Wondering if awful knock off or rare find!!!

I think it's a clone.

Carter always has raised lettering showing Carter YF and MADE in USA on the main cast portion of the carburetor as far as I know. Or at least with every known Carter I have dealt with clear back to the 50's versions.

Even when they licensed out to other companies like Weber, they always had Carter on it.

I think it's COS. Cloned old stock.

The markings on the tag are vaguely reminiscent of Korean script. Given that, the various pieces and parts look like like old castings.

It may be a foreign carb that found it's way into someones parts bin as a future "upgrade".
I scored a couple of late 60's Soviet Lada's on my first deployment that ran carbs much like that one.

Paperwork will ruin any military force.

So I had it translated by my colleague Mr Wong, who reads simplified Chinese characters and Cantonese.

It says "San Fu Chi Model 561 4 wheel drive GPW" and then it has two date stamps for month 8 and year illegible.

So defo a Chinese made carb for a GPW but of indeterminate age and quality. I will pass.

Thanks for the translation. !

Tried to google it. Came up with nothing. Only 3 ads for carburetors. That rarely happens.
