Well, think you guys nailed it with battery connections.

AAA replaced the battery on my wedding day in July when my now wife was driving the Jeep and it wouldn’t start after being parked. AAA said battery needed being replaced but it didn’t solve the problem. I wasn’t there and within two minutes of wrenching found the carb plate had gotten stuck so the motor wasn’t getting any air. Freed it up with a bit of persuasion and vroom. Anyway, the AAA guy jimmy rigged the terminals.

So, after cutting the plastic back, a fee strokes of the 220 grit and she fired right up three times in a row with no assistance other than a screwdriver.

Onto the lock cylinder later this week.

Thank you guys so much! Sometimes the fixes are more simple than we make it out to be.

Cleaned, sanded fresh and cut back the plastic.

Wow.... just wow... yeah.... I can see why it wouldn't start. Please at least replace the bolt and washer with a set of these.

I like the rigging to the battery, would never have done it, but sure will keep it in mind.
RN
Edit
Use terminal grease with the new threads on the battery post, stays cleaner longer, better long term connections in my opinion.
