Fresh air cable and circlips

The fresh air cable from the bracket to the fresh air box is binding. I may be able to salvage it, but before I tear things apart, I would like to have a spare.

All the vendors carry the knob to the bracket cable, but I cannot find the second cable from the bracket to the fresh air box. I also have not found the small circular circlips which hol the cable to the posts.

Anyone have an idea where I can find thses parts?

The circlips can be found at any well provisioned hardware store in the fastener section.

The cable... you're on your own with that one.

I'd rather be lost on the trails than found at home!

Napa for the circlips. 3 or 4 dollars will get you enuff to last you and all your friends a while. Package only. 3/16 size I believe.

If it's the cable I'm thinking of, when I did mine, all the places sell all the cables but that one. Impossible to find. I had to get mine from a junkyard.

It's the cable you were thinking of and your answer was what I expected. I was hoping someone had another option.

This is the cable inside the box? What you could do is take and old cable with the knob and cut it to length. The hardest part will be making the loop on the end

Cut more than you need it will make it easier to make the loop. Find a nail the same diameter and wrap tightly to make the loop.
