Ebay CJ5 2" wheel spacers

Has any one bought the 2" wheel spacers that they sell on ebay? Wondering if they are any good or junk.

Depends on the material

Everything I have ever heard about wheel spacers is specific; buy them once and buy the good ones, and make sure you install them carefully and properly-- Spidertrax is reputable and should be fine

also for you or anybody reading who may not know-- wheel spacers should be installed with loc tite at 100 ft pounds, driven on for about 50 miles, and then re-torqued-- it may seem time consuming but it's worth it to not suddenly be driving on your brake rotor

well, they're 6061, which should be strong enough for regular road use, but heavy wheeling on spacers over 1" makes me uneasy-- I would say if you don't plan to bash the jeep around much or put a lot of torque through the spacers (i.e. v8) then they should be fine but for wheeling purposes you would be better off getting deeper wheels to backspace (kind of expensive- a few hundred for a cheap set) or wider axles (much more expensive)

whether you use spacer or deeper wheels, any offset from the hub causes it to wear out much faster than if it were centered so keep that in mind too

my buddy purchased those and has had no problems and have been running them for several years now. however his jeep is not a daily driver. you just need to do as said above on using the correct loctite and torque specs.

Ya mine won't be a daily driver, and no rock crawler so I bet they would work for what I need.

I've had them on the back of my '79 CJ5 with 36" IROKS and 1pc axles for a year now. I drive mine daily (including a couple trips from Seattle, WA to Helena, MT) and run the trails on the weekends with no problems. I have Spider Trax 1 1/4" spacers on the front.
