The company I just started working for does a lot of machine work and I am slowly learning the machining world because of them. It was introduced in college but one semester isn't enough practice lol It sure helps knowing that skill so designing for manufacturing is easier.

I can't wait to see what your plates look like!

I would make 10 sets. That should cover everyone in this thread, and if anyone else needs some, then make 10 more and so forth and so on.

10 would be a good start. I'd really like to get them yellow zinc plated but for so few it would not pay out very well.

Zinc plated would be extremely nice, but I see where the cost wouldn't pan out.

Not yet. I just finished a tooling job this evening that needed to be done before any other projects can be started. I plan to see what I can do this week though.

Thanks
Jim

Not machined any yet but I do have the material ordered for them. I wanted to get the stock as close to the finished size to reduce machining cost to keep the overall price down. It should be in by the middle of the week.

Sweet deal man. You are going to save everyone a lot of hassle by making these. I really do appreciate it.

Hate to keep bugging you as I know there are other things on life that take precedence over these striker's, but have you finalized a design yet?

There will be very little difference between what I make and the factory part. So little most people would ever notice.

UPS shipping notification came today that my material order is due to be here late Monday afternoon.

Great...I had found a used set, but they were ridiculously high priced. I'll wait on yours. Would rather give you money than some guy on ebay.

Thanks. Forgot to mention that I'm only offering these in a powder coat finish of pink. I figured all you guys need to get in touch with your feminine side

Pink, baby blue, lime green, dooky brown, whatever. As long as it holds my door closed and keeps the tub from getting beat up by the latch.

Give Jim1611 a break will ya. He is doing this on his own and appreciates the fact that some of us love the OEM Jeep parts as they came from the factory and it takes patience to get them right. He will probably make them better than the factory parts supplier did, but that takes time and effort on his part.
