Clutch problem

Hey! I bought a jeep cj7 and when I push the clutch all the way in it gets stuck and it takes a while before it sets speed and comes out. I just wonder what the problem can be?

Could be several things. While uncommon, maybe the throw out bearing is sticking on the collar it rides on

HI, the speed of the clutch has nothing to do with it coming back out. it is spring operated. if your pedal does not come back to the top when letting out its a spring or adjustment issue.. if the motor revs but Jeep does NOT pick up speed then the clutch and pressure plate are bad.. if you hear a squealing when operating the clutch its the throw out barren (bearing, beering ect.).
good luck
