Cj7 plastic dash bezel removal

Thanks in advance

Trying to remove these plastic bezel. The metal ones came off easy. The plastic is a different story. Any suggestions? They only have a notch on top side and the notch is fill with the top cover of the bezel.

The three vent/air cables come out as a unit (fresh air/heat, defrost, and temp cables). Reach behind the dash and squeeze the two plastic (clips/retainers) together, then the entire cable assembly will pull through the front of the dash panel. It may help to use a small pair of pliers to help depress the retainers together. However, in order to fully remove these, you must first disconnect the other end of each cable from the heater box.

Note the two tabs/retainers on the cable to the far right.

Hope this helps,
Hoover

Just broke my AIR cable (second knob down) just by pulling on it. This is the cable that controls the flap inside the hood vent. Where exactly does this cable connect on the heater box?

It's dark outside (in a parking lot), and I can't see anything moving at the box. Feels like this cable broke at the knob shaft (plastic) just behind the dash itself. I wanted to ask up front so I can reach up to see if the actual cable itself broke as well. BTW, the AIR cable never really pulled IN or OUT smoothly. Always seemed to be some tension on the cable line.

Heading home to do more research but maybe someone can chime in to save me some time on where it attaches on the box (lower left bottom corner?). Luckily I have 2 extra sets of cables at home.
