They need a bottle opener option!

I've also learned that sometimes... when people don't agree with you .... its best to hold them down and kidney punch them till they agree with you

Does anyone make these? I'd love to purchase a set... They would have to clear the VIN sticker on a 78 CJ dash though, I need to keep that visible and undamaged.

Any chance of sending that cut file for an old collaborater on the project?

PM me your email address. I should be able to find the cut file, but no guarantees.

I sent him a PM and got no response. I wish someone would release a 1 to 1 PDF file that could be used as a pattern for those of us that only want to produce one for ourselves.

When I was re-drilling a tire carrier that was made for a later Jeep with a different lug pattern, someone was kind enough to set me up with a PDF file that made getting the pattern laid out really easy.

That is really sweet looking, even if it is six years old. I know a lot of folks tie the front bar to the dash instead of the floor (like mine). But doesn't it really need to go to the frame for strength? Was that dash designed for a roll bar like the new Wranglers have been? And it looks like 1/4" SS socket head bolts in the pics, looks trick and that is what I used to hold my dash to the body, but stanless is soft, and only 1/4" to sheet metal? For a roll bar? I had two mechanics yell at me for just running the floor plate to the glass floor, so I tied it to the frame. But my glass floor won't rust out.

There is a company that makes brackets that go behind the dash and catch the bolts and transfer the load to the floor.

I worked this up for my brothers Scrambler with YJ windshield frame.
Kinda based if off of the kit Genright offers.
