It may be, but it still looks like the crap magnet was turned on.

The driver probably drives around with a calf length fur coat and a hat with a peacock feather in it.

IMHO, it would look a lot better without the chrome grill insert, front bumper and bumperettes, stainless mirrors, etc. Too much bling, looks like it's owner is a pimp.

Sorry man, you're missing it on this one my friend. That's exactly how it came from the factory, no extras (save for maybe the lights on the bumper, which were factory add-ons) all the rest is straight up Laredo model, and is beautiful!

Putting the finishing touches on 1980 restoration project. Been looking for CJ7 roll bar saddle bags that have been out of production for at least a decade. Contacted Bryan at Seatz Mfg in Anaheim CA. and sent him a moldy old Whitco bag and he created a pattern to reproduce it in the same material he did my seat covers, roll bar cover and sun visors in. They came out great and now the interior is complete. If anyone is looking for the old style CJ roll bar saddle bags, contact [email protected] and he can make them up for you in the color your looking for.

I don’t like the look and said so, just in a colorful manner, I think there’s too much chrome on it. You don’t like my opinion, too bad. I think that Jeep is fugly.

All eleven posts of yours doesn’t give you a lot of credibility. It sounds more like you’re being the dick trying to suppress an opinion other than yours.

Thanks for that lead Mitch. I have the originals that my dad added when it was new. They are not in exact working order, as the zippers are 35 years old, but they still look good and match the 35 year old roll bar pad.

I want to look and read about Jeep CJ's on this thread and not read school yard taunts...

And that black Laredo is one of the best I have seen for its age. All OEM shine and bling and the buyer back then bought it for that reason. I thank him/her for that and keeping a piece of history as it was for all to see.

So Iím the one getting scolded for the schoolyard taunt? Did you even read the preceding commentary?

You can like the look of that CJ all you want, but to me itís overdone. I too appreciate the fact that itís a survivor and is in such good shape but I still think that thing is fugly. You donít like my opinion, change my mind. Though since itís an opinion, not based on objective criteria, youíre not likely to be successful.

This forum has gone downhill in the last 10 years or so. There used to be a lot more interesting commentary and input. It seems like the last two or three years thereís a lot more ďWhat is the 710 cap on the valve cover for?Ē Sure I like to see the CJ community keep going but it seems like a lot of these newbs probably should have their tools taken away.

Thereís still several good contributors here, yourself included. But I find myself spending my time reading from other forums and websites. Itís just not that interesting lately. Iíd say that the loss of Jeephammer was a big blow just as it will be when you or John Strenk and a few others are no longer around.

Damn, us less than all-star folks that come here because we enjoy learning about our Jeeps should go back to sending them to XYZ Auto Shop, and empty our wallets. I truly apologize for everyone on here that enjoy learning from the best. How did the best get to where there are? LEARNING FROM THOSE BEFORE THEM. Given that theory, just maybe the torch will be passed and us sub-par Jeep owners will be worthy to be on this degraded forum to share our experiences. Guess since I am considered a newb with turning wrenches on my Dad's Jeep that I got after he passed away, I should consider putting my newb tools on CL, or perhaps donating them to my local XYZ Auto Shop. Happy Thanksgiving Trailhead

P.S. The Laredo is awesome man, factory chrome and all!
