I like the Patina paint that is on both the Jeep and HT! Is the paint on the tub OG? If so, I would hit it with CLR, and spray clear over it.

What are your plans for it at this point?

My first plan of attack is to get the brakes done and the the fuel tank and then fix the couple of holes in the floor board. I plan on using it as my daily driver. I don't have any plans on painting it, mostly because I plan on using it. Both on the road and off. When you say use CLR on it what are you referring to. Part of me would like to preserve the current look, i just wouldn't know where to start or even how. I am willing to learn. Thanks for your time and help.

thats what I thought of at first, just wantd to make sure. As for learning, I believe that we all have something to offer and a whole let we can learn from if we just take the time to ask question and listen to what other people have to say whether you agree with them or not.

My 86 CJ7 starts after 17 years

Hi all.
Hello.
I asked you all for a half ago what I should prepare before I started the engine on my CJ7.
The engine had been at peace for 17 years so a little preparation was necesarry i think. You asked me to post the results. Well the fact remains that it has been so cold here in Norway that I exposed the work to the temperature where more human :-) ...
Well yesterday I tested, but I found out that the water pump had jammed. Today I removed the v-belts and tested again. Here´s the result:

1986 Jeep Cj7, 258CID, Dana300/30/44, Automatic, frame off 2010/11.
