Carrier Parts

I have a CJ7 original spare tire carrier. It has the two small rubber bumpers that connect the carrier to the tailgate,. They are underneath a larger diameter threaded hole. Probably 1/2” or so. Is this larger hole for a stud of some sort, to keep pressure on the spare and prevent it from movement etc? If so, where can I get this part? Im sure I can use a bolt if not possible to get the part anymore.

Yes, it’s a carriage bolt with a larger than normal head that rest against the tire.

If a wider tire is used, the bolt may need to be shortened so it doesn’t hit the body when the gate is closed.
