Bikini top channel placement? Best top, specifically.

PO drilled the holes for the channel but it appears to be poorly located to keep on with a hardtop. I installed the channel and the hardtop is not sitting correctly. I feel it is too far forward from the cab, almost to the edge of the front frame and not back towards the cab.

Does anybody have an image of their channel? I feel that it needs to be flush with the back of the frame to allow for the hardtop to sit correctly with the channel.

As always, thank you so much for the help!

I may be wrong, but I thought you were supposed to remove the bikini top rail from the windshield frame before installing the hardtop? I always did on mine, anyway. Honestly, though, I never tried to fit the hard top with the channel in place.

Hoov is correct, the channel has to be removed to install the hardtop.

Damn, I thought when I had my last 85 I kept the channel in while swapping out the tops. Well, good to know I don't have to put more holes into my shield frame.
