I will be removing mine very soon because I don't want them.

Some rust on them, but salvageable I think.

When I have them out I will put them in the classifieds.

If all goes well, they will be removed this weekend.

ok you guys are the experts on these steps. Can you direct me where I can buy a pair to a pair that will fit my 79 cj7?? sent messages to someguys on this site about buyingsteps but no responses. I do not have a big budget but I am rather short and am about to brake my neck getting in and out of my new 79 purchase. I am not a fan of nurf bars but !!!

I have been searching most of the commercial sites

Not trying to hijack the thread but I need a factory driver side step if there is one out there. I picked up a passenger side from another member, thought I had a handle on the drivers one but it apparently has fallen through. Any help would be appreciated and Kieth has the most detailed photographs around.

I was going to pull mine this weekend, but finishing the lift kicked my ***. Now I have to fix the steering issues and probably won't get around to pulling the side steps for at least another few weeks.

Once I do, I will post info here and put up a classified ad.

Hello
I would like to revisit this old thread.
I have just purchased some “near stock” steps that I would like to install on a 1979 CJ7. The photos in 2011 part of the thread by Keith460 don’t show up anymore.

Would anyone still have the install info?

Thanks

I can see Keith’s pictures, other than the watermark from “Photo-Ripoff”, they look fine. I will repost them for you.
