84 CJ7 - AMC V8 and TF999 Transmission Kick down Throttle Valve linkage needed

A friend of mine is going to remove my 258 and install a 1979 AMC 360 in my 84 CJ7. the CJ7 has the TF999 Auto transmission. we were talking this weekend when I dropped off the jeep that the Throttle valve AKA kick down linkage will need to be re worked. I will call Lokar when they open after the holiday to see what they may have, but I know there are folks out there that solved this problem. If so, can you share what you used, Did you cobble parts together or was there a on the shelf kit? I dont think a 304 ever had a TF999 behind it but please let me know if I am wrong. thanks fellas!

Well...That's something I didn't know! I just looked it up in the parts manual but the picture is awful. Anyone have a better image so I can source a used set thats complete?

hello
the easiest way to get a whole assemble is probably try and find a old wagoneer or j truck from the 80's. amc went to dodge torqueflights i believe in 80 for the automatics. amc being broke im pretty sure the part is pretty much the same.

Yep, any AMC Jeep vehicle 1980 and newer used a torqueflite, even the Wagoneer until its discontinuation. AMC also used torqueflites in all their automatic non-jeep brand cars starting in 1972.
