Arrow 76 CJ5- Gfrench Restoration Project

Also have been going back and forth on what color to paint the Jeep- White? Red? Blue?

As I will be using new Spice colored interior... did limit my options to make sure everything comes together... So found a really nice Medium Green Pearl Metallic that I think will look great!

Shot a little on the old fender and is a really rich color that pops in the sunlight for sure.

I also think I will be going with the Golden Eagle graphics on this to pull everything together...

Here is my inspiration!

Looks very nice. Check out a green metallic that Jeep put on 95YJs as a special option with Sahara pkg only and in 96 on Dakotas. It would look sharp with the golden eagle livery. Iíll see if I can find a paint code.

My 76 CJ5 painted in OEM Jeep Natural Green Pearl. This pic was taken on an overcast day, so it doesn't do the color justice, as it really pops in the sunlight.

Thanks for posting your jeep- Found a good shot of that color and it does come to life in the sun for sure...

The green that I found does seem to have a little more yellow tint to it but it is an awesome color... color code 47 WA9539... so will for sure look at the Natural Green Pearl...

This color scheme is just really striking for sure!

Nice work, and for some reason your stage of the game looks very familiar.

Have you test fit the tub to the frame? I had a couple of issues with body mount alignment on the replacement steel tub I used.

What size tires/wheels are those? They look good.

Is that the 4:1 1st gear ratio T18? That is what my 76 had in it OEM.

Not yet- will be setting the body on soon to do a full mock-up of everything prior to painting. I went with the Repli-Tub from Willy's Overland so should just bolt right up as they make all the modifications prior to shipping... we will see soon.

Yes T-18 tranny-

I do really like the old school look of the narrower tires- they are 7:50 x 16.. The tires are built on 50 year old technology for sure and since this is just going to be a Spring- Summer- Fall jeep here in Colorado... not to worried about snow and ice. Will see how they ride and work in the mud etc... If not good will move over to a more modern tire set up- these just have the Old School cool look to them!

Thanks Buddy- was cool you got to see this thing in the early stages and what was in front of me!

Lucky the deeper I got peeling away the old worn parts... the better things were and looked!

Check out Jeep CJ7 Sherwood Green Metallic. A color offered in 1982 for sure and maybe other years as well.

Greg,

It was my pleasure to meet you and help get your project started.

Hated to see Larry sell his shop. I hope he treated you well.
