74 CJ5 rear seat?

Does anyone have pics of an original 74 CJ5 rear seat? I am trying to find the mounting brackets but I don’t know if the seat I have is the original or if it has been mod-ed.

This includes early CJ5 in its examination of Jeep rear seat designs. Not saying yours is not but I doubt it is

Thanks Bagus. I agree. This does not look like the original. The PO was a welder. Looks like he made it.

Thanks for posting this. I also had a question about the back seat and this answer it for me.

I have a 75 and the rear seat mounts like a 74. Just like the other person posted in link. The front slides beneath the part that mounts to jeep floor like you see in the attached picture. Then the rear of the seat bracket has a spring loaded pin that drops into a hole in the rear that has the same mounts as the front. So the pin is what essentially keeps the seat in place.

No worries. The pictures of jhott rear seat is definitely the factory brackets just like mine. Here is a picture of before and after of my seats. They needed some TLC from past owners neglect. This forum is great. So many people have helped me out when I have questions about things. Good luck!

Azpecker--Is that the original color of your CJ? Mine has original paint, but very faded/patina-ed. From what I can tell the original color for mine was "Jet Set Blue". Debating just cut/buff as is and clear coating it to retain the patina, but need to fix some small rust bubbles and touch them up before I do.

No, it’s definitely been painted but by previous owner. Original paint code 585 is renegade blue.Overall I like the patina look, just have some chipping on hood. You can see in earlier pictures of tub what the original color was. Attached you’ll see my specs and paint sheet I found online. My buddies wife owns a classic car interior shop that specializes in 50’s and 60 Chevy impalas and bel airs. It’s blue Italian leather and cloth part is 63 impala interior. Colors went great with patina.
