1985 CJ7 Jeep Canadian Armed Forces

Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this forum, so please be patient with me. I own a 1985 CJ7 that was owned by the Canadian Armed Forces, and I am trying to get more information. In particular, how many 1985 CJ7 did they buy? It looks stock, but if there is a way to find the spec sheet for my specific CJ7, that would be awesome. Does anyone know where I can get the answers to my 2 questions?

Look on the underside of the front seats. The factory build sheet was usually stapled to the bottom of the seat cushion. I think your best bet is going to be to contact a historian. Or if there is a CFB near you, see if anyone there can help track down the info you want re: numbers of jeeps bought etc. Unfortunately I don't think you'll find that info though.....I doubt they keep records that far back

If you have not "decoded" the data plate, these may be helpful.
