1975 cj5 232 evap vacuum fuel line

Hey all, I am digging into a 75 cj5 with a 232. The fuel tank was removed before I got it. None of the diagrams in the chilton book look like mine. The canister up front has a line for purge, carb bowel, and fuel tank. The carb line goes up to the carb next to fuel inlet. The purge is cut and hanging. I assume it connects to air cleaner underside. The fuel tank line runs to back of Jeep. Drivers side there is a liquid check valve. That line goes into it. There are two vapor lines that go to the two small ports on side of fuel tank. So… on the top of the fuel tank there is an outlet for fuel running to fuel pump. Two wires. A hard ground and a line to the gauge in dash. What hooks to the second line that I would assume is a fuel/vapor return line? If out of the canister I run right to the top of the fuel tank, what then would run to the liquid check valve? I can’t figure out what I am missing. Thanks in advance.

The TSM diagram of the tank for a 74 might be easier to decipher than the Chilton book. If it doesn't look like yours go back and get the TSM for 76. One of the two will work.

I am having a hard time understanding your description. Pictures would help, but you will need more posts to post them.

Found what I needed in the 76 TSM. On some models a fuel return line runs from fuel filter on carb back to the fuel tank. Everything is missing and I was having a hard time finding a diagram that matched my sending unit/vapor canister/ and liquid check valve.
