Walcks specialise in older jeeps, mainly Willys but also early CJ5 and CJ6.

Please do fill out your profile. It tells us about both you and your Jeep.

The 72-75 CJ5s or intermediate CJ5s were mixes of the best of the early CJ5s with the no nonsense utilitarian tub and the longer wheelbase and AMC power. I have only had one problem finding replacement parts--a steering bushing. After I fabricated a replacement I found one listed on an online vendor site.

You can find most commonly replaced parts at your local auto parts store. Yes you can order them online but you can't compare old and new before you buy. I find most parts in stock and if I have to order I usually get the new part the same day if it is in the local warehouse or the next day if it has to come from a regional warehouse. There is no shipping charge either.

If I have to order online I usually go with Summit Racing. They have a warehouse 100 miles from here so I get next day delivery at no extra cost because of their nearness. Google is your friend when ordering parts. You'll find that prices are virtually the same at all the online stores.

https://www.kaiserwillys.com/ has parts for the early Jeeps and if I can't find tub related parts Look for the same part fort the 71 CJ5. https://www.morris4x4center.com/ had steering shaft parts I couldn't find elsewhere. Their diagrams are helpful.

Good luck and welcome!
