Are women exempt from the Jeep wave?

I have noticed several times in the last couple of weeks that EVERY single Wrangler I meet, which a woman is driving, does not return the friendly wave. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? It is quite annoying, they are usually on their cell phone as well so I guess Iam better off not giving them one more thing to do while driving.

A real Jeep enthusiast (man or woman) will spot another Jeep as soon as it comes into sight....all the rest are "weepers" aka-"wanna-be Jeepers"....but really haven't got a clue what it's all about! Keep waving, the ones that matter will wave back!

We can't control the problems that we encounter in life; We can only control the way that we respond to them.

Ditto.........

There are "Jeepers" and then there are jeep "drivers"...........not the same.

You just aren't a true Jeeper until you do the wave............

Plus, if enough people wave at these non-wavers, they'll eventually get the hint.

I've noticed that around here, it's contingent on age also. Women over the age of 35 wave. None of the younger ones do.

Jeep wave

Even though they are women DRIVING JEEPS, as a group, women share a common lack of ROAD OBSERVATION. Boards cotaining nails, broken cubs, samll animals Jeep wave, etc., all fail to get any woman drivers attention. Shopping Malls, SALE signs, potential coppy-cat honey-do projects never, on the other hand, miss their view. Sadly, you must just chalk it up to genetics and let it go.

When I wave to women in Jeeps (I notice more women in JK's and Grand Cherokees than TJs, YJ's, or CJ's) I usually get no response at all. The ones that do respond tend to give me some kind of dirty look like I was trying pick them up, or hit on them or something. That kind of annoys me. It's not like I'm hanging out the window yelling "Why don't you go topless?" or something disrespectful like that.

At my age, as if I'd be trying to pick up women or something anyway. (today is my birthday)

I agree with OP. Don't give women another thing to do while driving. I have never been waved at by a woman driving a Jeep.

For some reason, the XJ drivers never wave. I wave at every XJ I see, and have never once had a wave returned, even from the built rigs!

Yes, women are exempt. They need to keep their hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel to safely drive. They can't take their hands off the wheel to wave at you guys.
