What was the first modification that you made to your Jeep? Did you plan on modding it or did one thing lead to another?

My first mod was removing, prepping and painting the stock flares with Krylon Fusion. I also removed the "milk jugs" from the stock bumpers. All of that stuff was later replaced several times. Haha.

I planned on setting this Jeep up for back country exploring, and since I sometimes go alone I wanted a strong reliable drivetrain. I did all of the initial mods at the same time, which included: 3" lift, 35s, Dynatrac Dana 60s, Tom Wood driveshafts, spare tire carrier, bumpers, rocker guards, and a winch. The Jeep had 238 miles on it when it went in the shop. I've put 1000 miles on it since the mods, and all seems to be working as planned.

My first was a rear bumper as the stock one had seen better days.

Then I had to build a front on to match.

Winch, then 2inch lift + 31inch tires

That was back in 2006... a lot has changed since then.
