Fantastic video and great editing. What software are you editing with?

Thanks! This is my first time trying to tell stories with videos, I'm really enjoying it.

I look forward to the day I can tell an engaging story.

I'm editing with Final Cup Pro X on a Mac.

Here's how it felt to drive through the minefield.

Definitely my most intense day behind the wheel of a vehicle - much more than The Death Road in Bolivia.

I have driven into African country #3, Senegal!

And without a Carnet De Passage too, something many people have said is impossible.

Woah, it's starting to get tropical!

Dan, is that paint or vinyl map on your hood? I assume the yellow "trail" line is a hand marker, but what about the map?
Keep safe!

I decided to get a little fancy this time around.
The map is a big clear decal, with the outline and cities printed to it.

The yellow line I am drawing in by hand, it's a paint pen.

How's the JK working out in terms of accommodating your daily living needs? Power? Water? How difficult has it been to get fuel?

The JK has been amazing so far. I customized a few things after month, and I'll be writing a big review of everything once I have a bunch more miles under my belt.

No worries at all getting gas, every station has always had it.

I have driven into Gambia, country #4.
After hours of arguing, I ended up paying my first bribe, unfortunately.

Hey Everyone,

Here's how it looked driving across Mauritania, skirting the edge of the Sahara desert.

Hey all,

I've been hanging out around The Gambia River, and spotted my first Hippo!
And my first Chimpanzee!

...And my first Ebola warning sign... then I got horribly sick. Damn.

Hey All,

Another day, another bribery attempt foiled!

Also, 9 hours to catch a single ferry - a new record for me!
