Stupid argument. Opinions needed.

Suppose your significant other suggests you go out for the evening and listen to some music. You agree and before you are finished cleaning up from doing yard work all day, they are fussing about being ready to go. So you finish quickly and are ready to head out the door. You arrive at the intended destination to find that the musician you came to hear won't be starting for another hour. But, then he starts earlier than planned, so all is good there. Now, after ordering and receiving your drinks your mate picks up his/her iPhone and starts checking FB and sending loopt stuff and who knows what else, while you are sitting there thinking that you could have been at home doing the same thing for less $. Move to another venue as the music wasn't that great at the first place and the same scenario occurs with the phone. It's just the 2 of you, so you really don't have anyone else to talk too, except the waiter, and he's busy waiting on other people. So after about 45 minutes of sitting there drinking and thinking what a rude stinker said mate is being I snatched the phone from his hands and proceeded to explain to him how rude he was being. That is once I was able to get him to shut up about me giving back his phone.

Was I out of line?

Im guilty of doing the same stuff... My iPhone has taken over my life, as well as facebook... Its pathetic. You can tell him to stop being rude, but it wont help, hes going to do what he wants... You either gotta deal with it or move to the next guy.

Yes. He should have left you in the kitchen.

Not out of line at all. This is starting to become a big problem in our always connected world. Some people are getting addicted to this stuff. They can't pry themselves away from the virtual to enjoy the real one and those in it.

This is totally irrelevant but I read in a tech magazine that many restaurants are installing cell phone signal jammers that prevent patrons from receiving or sending calls/messages.

Just because you believe something it doesn't make it the truth.

I remember reading somewhere a while back that this is illegal. If not federally, then in many states.

Can't tell if you were out of line or not. We need pix of you in just an apron making cookies in the kitchen to be able to decide.

1. Stupidity should be more painful!
2. Don't believe everything you think!
3. Your post is as worthless as you!

I'd stop eating at those restaurants. I don't talk to people in restaurants, other than a quick "Hey, I'm eating, I'll call you later." I don't need a restaurant teaching me manners.

As far as the constant cell phone use when on a date, no you weren't out of line. I'd hope someone would do the same to me if I was being an anti-social turd on a date.

There's nothing on facebook that can't be looked at sometime next year. Surfing the net is generally a waste of time, but OMG is facebook a waste of time.
