Question about email on android phone

Random/Strange question about the email on my Galaxy S7.

Everytime I walk by a particular building downtown, my phone launches my email and I get the attached "certificate" message that pops up.

Why would walking by a specific building (happens every single day) cause my phone to immediately launch my email?

Thanks!

They likely have some kind of "free" WiFi that requires you to register your device. At least, that's my first guess.

It looks like what's happening to us right now. Monday, my APKNite company made a change to the wireless network for both in and outside of the company in an effort to streamline the services offered across there, as well as increase the performance of the wireless network. But it's very annoying.
