I don't like the new jeep trucks.

Ive seen my first 2 driving around, both 4 doors. I dont like the looks at all. I liked the tjs modded with truck beds.. maybe the jk would look better at an extended cab.

That is all.

How do you think the folks who paid 70-80k for a DV8 conversion JK truck a couple years ago feel about it?

Saw one the other day, red 4-door, looked awful, didn't look anything like a Jeep in my opinion and for a 50K price tag I would just assume buy a 4-Door Rubicon JL or a Dodge Ram.

I read they're going for way above retail due to the high demand. I was looking forward to them coming out, been thinking of a new car and was holding off. I think I was hoping for a throwback to the cj8. But nope, looked like a Kleenex box on wheels.

Gonna be like the Mazda Miata when they first came out and dealers were seller them for $10,000 or more over sticker.

Personal opinion - I think I would visually like them more if they were set up like an extended cab/super cab.

Same thing happened when the Hellcat first came out. People were paying through the nose just for the honor of being among 'the first'.

would get the Power wagon before the jeep. Better truck, has 1 ton axles still?. I have to check but the P wagon has coil linked rear if i recall. not leafs. V8. cost a bit more but it has everything a Rubicon has as well. Just 1 ton.

But then again i wont be buying anything Fiat anyway. We have two trucks. Well I have a truck the f250 7.3 and Wife's 7.3 Excursion's a better truck then that jeep. Might even be a better jeep then jeep is a truck and its a SUV. Big one but none the less. i was pulling Donner pass last week for our yearly Rubicon run. Did it this year with her X about 8k in tow. 70mph up hill towing. cant see my 3.6 doing it.

I like the look and they are almost a real trucks, but still a Wrangler. They can carry a decent payload and tow unlike the other wranglers. Not an issue if you just off road but nice if you want an actual truckish type vehicle.

I am not a fan of all the modern electrical stuff but that is how it is with all newer vehicles.

That was kind of my idea when I first saw the original concepts, and what pushed my decision to buy one. I have a full size pickup to do my towing, and an old farm truck to do my nasty hauling. I wanted something that would fit the family, the dog, and we could still use it to haul smaller loads or tow a boat. I also have some thought of doing some overlanding trips, and thought this would be a good way to go.

Like anything radically new and different, they're not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and that's ok. I think they're going to be a decent moneymaker for FCA if they can get enough on dealer lots.
