how do i go about contacting land owners?

hi, i live on long island and there are next to no true legal wheeling areas

id really like to see if i can find properties and work out something for usage with the owners but i really dont know where to start

If someone could help explain how to go about the following, it would be greatly appreciated

1. How to find out who owns a particular property
2. how to really get a hold of them (im hoping once i find out who owns it, there would be some way to contact them listed)
3. what to really say to them
4. what should be included in a simple contract basically saying, im liable for damages to my vehicle and injures, we wont leave garbage, or intentionally destroy any property, stuff like that

Thank you so much for any information you guys can give me

You usually can find out from public records who owns land or you could ask a realtor friend also.

I highly doubt you will find legal wheeling in NY, that is why everyone goes to Rausch Creek.

Im just trying to find a decent sized preace of empty land and talk to the guy, I know ill most likely have to pay

There is a place near me where there's no posted signs and no one hassles us, we wave to the people living around it and don't act like *******s... but id like to find other places (I know of other trails people go to, but I haven't checked them out yet)

Check your particular counties accessor website. The ones around here give you maps (google), property lines, who pays taxes on the property, size of property, etc...
