buying and paying for online jeep purchase

all,

i'm looking to buy a wrangler from out of state, i'd rather ship it than fly out and drive it home. I'm looking for suggestions how to pay for this darn thing safely, i.e. to protect buyer and seller.

ideas? suggestions?

thanks!

Don't even think about buying a Jeep with only pictures to go by. Lots of defects don't show up in pictures, including how it runs and internal frame rust.

You asked the same in another thread? Not sure why you ask again unless the answers you had are not what you want to hear?

Again I will say if i was selling a vehicle and anyone said i'll send you any form of check, paypall what ever. No sale. Now you could bring me your check. WE go to your bank and cash it. Then i sign the pink over, but no matter its cash. I dont care if its a bank check, they have been known to be counterfeited before.

Buying sight unseen was for James Dean. Me Im not paying for something i have not. If it takes a road trip, been there done it more then a few times. Heck sometimes you can drive 8+ hours one way to find out what they have would need a trailer to get back as it is junk. The cost to ship can be rather high as well . All sales are "As is" in private party sales of most anything you can imagine. As well this is how scams work too. Selling things out of state, takes your money and says it in shipping. never shows up. Nothing you can do now.

Paypall can work both ways. buyers not happy, cries to PP they stop payment now seller has a vehicle out state and the new owner gets it for free?

You should probably search some articles about it.

I have never tried to purchase vehicle on an online store except for auto parts. It will always be best to visit a dealer store.
