Places to primitive camp and off-road in the north cascades or north eastern washingt
Looking for a long adventure explore areas of Washington that I haven't been, but concern is the risk of not being allowed to primitive camp. Might be cold for April, but want to get out.
I suppose since this is more of a family vacation, off camber might not work out so well. Semi technical I guess.
Too early for the North Cascades. Head out on Route 20 into the Okanagan. You camp almost anywhere you want.
Are you new to the West? This a question mostly asked by people from back East.
Get yourself a map of the Okanagan NF. Too early to go over North Cascades Highway.
The simplest plan would be Route 2 over Stevens Pass, or Snoqualmie. Lose elevation on the east side until it warms up and camp there.
