Got the majority of the rack together. I am super pleased so far. Still need to mount it, wire it, make a front fairing and powder coat it. I love it!

Wanted to get started on installing my old front dif and new strut kit into my wife's CRD, pull the lower cover and its got a lot of anti freeze in it. ugh, water pump.
fine, order a water pump, thermostat and belt. take belt off, tensioner and both idler pulleys have play of course. order that.

finally done, drove it home tonight and its all good, like a new truck, the old struts where pretty shot.

I say it every time, but that's it for awhile

Loving the 3.07 gears in mine, highway cruising at 110kph(68mph) and the rpm is around 1800, great. around town is nice and smooth. have not run a tank through yet, but hoping for some better mileage,

Put new sway bar bushings in today. All clunking noise is now gone and the jeep is driving like a dream.

Its a Nature Power 100W panel kit. I bought a couple from Home Depot last year during a 50% off sale for $80 each.

Planning to use it to charge a Yeti 400 solar generator which will act as a secondary power circuit in my jeep for my 50 qt ARB fridge and to charge a couple other items when camping. This home depot panel generates about 30-75W in my area depending on time of year and time of day.

The max input into the Yeti is 140W so I'm setup to also install a parallel portable 100W folding panel from RockPals.

I've bought all of this stuff on clearance through Amazon Warehouse deals, so between the fridge, yeti and panels I'm in this for less than $1k.

Regarding the panel, I also rigged up a secondary support off the windshield using an old camera tripod I can deploy when stationary. Probably adequate for show vehicle movement to, say 5-10 mph.

I have loved the utility and style of the Prinsu racks. I drew up the design in fusion 6 months ago or so and just recently I asked just the right guy who could get me material and connect me with just the right company to get it cut out with a laser. The cross bars are 80/20 extruded aluminum like what Prinsu uses.

Tonight was working on the wiring harness for lighting (and future lighting). Mounts are getting welded on Saturday.

Replace all the front control arms (uppers and lowers) and bushings this weekend. I bought new control arms from Rock Auto with the bushings already pressed in to make life easier on me. The old bushings were the originals and have almost 227k miles on them. They've been squeaking badly for awhile, but they hadn't fallen apart. Everything is nice and quiet now!

Bought a windshield washer nozzle from the dealership. $56 out the door for one! It would have been worth cross referencing to aftermarket...

I need it and I'm living remotely, essentially no fixed address at the moment... I just wanted to warn others.

Solid work! is this aluminum or steel? I'm assuming steel with the powdercoated future?

Thank you!

This is aluminum. I think I am going to end up painting it with like a single stage equipment paint. I've considered a bedliner to match my rock rails and other things. I was just quoted 250 for power coat and I am just too far into this financially to spend another 250 just to color/protect it right now.

Its aluminum for weight. I have been interested to weighing it all together. Its awkward in size. I can hold it on a side, get up onto a rock slider and carefully set it down on the roof by myself. I am a big human being, so that helps. As far a huge roof racks go, its incredibly light.

I ordered up the front light bar yesterday, wiring harness is almost all done. Its getting there!

Fairing test #2 (cut out on CNC Router, 1" taken off the overall height from my original design/test cut #1). SUPER pleased!

Light bar is a single row 40" that will be here on Friday. Ill tuck it back just far enough that the bottom of the beam will be cut off by the back of the fairing right over the hood. That's my plan anyway. I want to keep the bright light off the white hood in the dark.

Next is to do some test cuts in the aluminum to make sure we get our feed speed and bit right and this will hopefully be aluminum by the end of the week.
