SKIM module won't sleep

My sentry key ignition module (SKIM) won't got o sleep after locking the vehicle. How I know it's the SKIM, battery started draining completely over night. Did a parasitic draw test resulting in the IOD fuse. Checked the wiring diagram and once the SKIM was disconnected the draw was gone.

Does the skim need to be replaced? I have completely reset the PCM with nothing changing. I'm at the end of my knowledge and need some help.

What year/ engine/ 4wd system?

05-07 sentry key is incorporated in the SKREEM module and includes the Wireless Control Module. 08-10 The WCM is now a WIN module and is separate. Either way, It’s very possible that something is keeping the module alive as opposed to the module just not going to sleep (damaged door contact, TPMS transmitter, module) . You’ll probably need a very good scanner to see what’s active after power down. FYI the IOD takes 3-5 minutes to power down with no other activity.

2005/ 5.7/ 4X4

SO the SKREEM, SKIM ans WCM are all the same module? All I know is when I disconnect the little black box that is attached the the ignition the draw goes away. I have a very good scanner I just need to know what to look for.

Yes, WCM and SKIM are the same module. You need to be able to look at the WCM with your scanner and see what is keeping it awake. I donít have my FSM handy but I believe that could be anything on the CAN B network.
