Replaced 3 front diff bushings..

..with poly from Creative Steel. I ordered the black or the softer of the two (I think red is the stiffest) and there seems to be no excess noise or harshness. It's so nice not to have that cluck every time I shift. Felt like my front end was gonna drop out. Anyway, I recommend them.

Would replacing the shot bushings raise my lift/stance? My lift had settled to a disappointing 20". Just checked it because I thought it looked different. It's 21" now. Would new bushings change the lift or are my measurements wonky?

This is for the front differential bolted to the frame which is prone to coming loose. They are not part of the suspension.

I know, but it's sitting a solid inch higher now. I measured it several times recently because I'm thinking of modifying my OME lift. Every time it was 20.1". Now it's 21.1". I don't know, maybe I'm crazy.

Maybe you over-inflated your tires, and that gave you an extra inch?

How did you change the bushings? If the wheels left the ground the suspension will need to resettle.

Wouldn't affect the hub to fender measurement.

Shop did it but would imagine they put it on a lift. I guess I'll wait and see...

I need to do this desperately. It says they're on backorder.... how long did you wait to get yours from them? Looks like a quality product.....

Ordered a few weeks ago and showed up in a few days. I must have lucked out. Ask them about the wait. I messaged them on their facebook page with a question and they answered pretty fast.

Copy that, thanks. Did you do it yourself or have someone do it? How straightforward was the install? I'm pretty sure I could handle it but looking for excuses to have someone else do it. haha. It would be a driveway job... but I do have air tools....

You can do it.

I have twice in a driveway.

Blocks are nice to drive up on.

Hardest part it getting old ones out and new ones in straight.

I did not disco the whole thing, just rotated on the CVs. Just be gentle and don't let it hang.

Have some fun and buy yourself a toy with money saved.

Good time to change fluid too if needed.

I had a local shop do it for $150(labor). I'm a hack youtube mechanic and it was too much for me to tackle. After I watched this vid I knew.

Mine are being replaced as we speak along with the engine mounts plus having a rear drive shaft made because apparently you can't just change the u joints or even have it drilled out to put u joints in Dealer tries to make you buy a whole new drive shaft already had my front one done a couple years ago .2006 Commander 5.7 4 inch lift .

$150 ? Engine mounts, Front Dif bushings , Drive shaft and a coolant leak is costing me $2600 at AMCO
