NGK Ruthenium HX Spark Plugs

Have any of you tried these new plugs in your 3.7 V6 WKs yet?

I just put them in mine, I also ordered the V-Power coppers I normally use in case they don't work as expected. Changed at 147,500 miles.

After a short drive they seem to work just as well as the coppers... same power, smooth idle, same responsiveness. I'll update later after a more long-term analysis

Regards,
Bill

Well, a few hundred miles in, I can see these plugs work great! I'm dubious about the 200k lifetime on them, but anything that allows me to not have to replace them every summer (I put on about 20k/yr) is worth it to me!

Over 10k miles in now, and she still purrs like kitten! Now have just over 157K miles on on my GC, and I highly recommend these plugs!

At 168k+ miles on her now, and at over 21k on these plugs. Purrs like a kitten, very happy with this choice of plug!

Did a day trip to PA yesterday for Labor Day scenic views (mountains, delaware water gap, etc.) Put 320 miles on her, most of that on high-speed interstates (65mph limit, and going 80+). Man, did she run great! What wasn't on high-speed was very hilly country roads, winding through the mountains. Nice and smooth, plenty of power and excellent mileage... every bit as good as copper with 8x the longevity (supposedly). Try them!

I'm glad somebody is finding them useful! Going on a trip upstate tomorrow, then again further up in 2 weeks. Should put quite a few more miles on her At this point in time we are at 169,422, which is 22k miles on these plugs and 2/3 of the way through the useful life of OEM copper, so we've got a bit more driving to do before inspecting them

Yes, I've put 22k miles on her in 10 months! I drive A LOT, which is why I wanted to try these new plugs out. I maintain her VERY well, using nothing but quality synthetic oil, and I use various top-end brands... Mobil 1, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, Lubro-Moly, Castrol Edge, etc. I used the proper 5-20 the first 120k or so, but now that she's consuming a bit more oil and has some age on her, I've been using 5-30.

Bill

I actually plan to buy a set of these thanks to your thread here. Any chance you could post the exact model of them? I want to put a set in my V8.

I'm going to be on the road for a while you'll probably find out faster going to the NGK website and just plugging in your Jeep.

@Vertisce21

I have a 3.7 V6, that part is FR6BHX-S

For the V8 5.7L it is LKFR5AHX on the 4.7L this is for the INTAKE SIDE.

Bill
