Marbles in exhaust? or something else..

So this has been going on for about 2 or 3 days... off the line it sounds like there's marbles in the exhaust.. after i get above 15-20 mph it goes away... i went below and checked the exhaust shield and kicked around the whole exhaust pipe.. n nothing was rattling.. any ideas? thanks in advanced!

Broken catalytic converter? I had one break up on me in a previous vehicle, certain situations like just lightly revving the engine would easily replicate the sound.

I got lucky, just barely under the federal 8/80 emissions warranty so it didn't cost me a dime. How many miles on your Jeep?

Take a look at the inside of your exhaust pipe, does it have an whitish grey dust in it? If so it's the cat. It could be a baffle that came loose in the muffler.

Mine: 07 GC Limited Hemi stock for now.

Look under where the bell housing is. It's between the back of your front tires. It will have an orange plug on it about 3" wide. When I take mine out, I hear the same noise. Maybe you're missing that plug.

Not sure if you'll have the same stuff under there as I have a CRD.
