Illuminated door sills

Has anyone else installed the mopar illuminated door sills? I was disappointed that they say "jeep" in white instead of "grand cherokee" in blue like they do in the mopar catalog (if you read the description it does say illuminated "jeep" emblem even though the picture shows different). They are growing on me though... (I apologize for the iphone pictures, next mod: digital cam)

Its also interesting that they are illuminated by a LED that is inside the cabin and use fiber-optics to get the light to the panel. The worst part of the mod is removing the adhesive from the original sills.

And I'm loving my MBRP

All and all, a productive day!
Now if my OME 2" would just get here...

The exhaust is perfect (in fact after coming from a 300ZX TT with a B&B it could be a little louder for my taste) its just a little louder than stock. Its almost no different from stock while cruising. Just remember this is for the CRD, the MBRP for gas engines will be noticeably louder than stock.

as for the door sills, they are pricey at $170

Don't seem pricey to me, the non-illuminated door sills for a commander is about $160

I believe they work on all WK's. The mopar catalog says '09 only, and the parts counter guy at my local dealership swore to me that if it says '09 only that it will not even fit any other model year. Even though I tried to explain to him that the body itself was the same on all WK's and that the only thing that may differ is the wiring, he still believed I was crazy for buying it. The instructions were great and aside from removing the old door sills the installation was very simple. The only difference as far as I can see is that the wires that you splice into had different color tracers on them in the '08 than the '09. This is something that I am sure would be the same for '05 through '07, but all that is needed for these to work is a 12v source on the illumination circuit (the driver footwell light is what is used).
