Highway Speed Hum

I have a 2005 WK with the 3.7 that has about 175k on her. Within the last few weeks it has started to hum and vibrate around 50 or so mph. I can feel the vibration in the gas pedal and in the floor boards as well as very slightly on the steering wheel. As soon as I let off the gas, the vibration and hum returns. The hubs up front feel tight and all the u-joints feel tight, except for a little bit of vertical play at the rear u-joint of the transfer case. The front struts are shot and are soon to be replaced and I'm not sure if their lack of ability to be a damper is causing it. I can also move the transfer case up about 3-4 inches by hand so is it possible that the bushings and mounts for the transfer case is shot? I'm pretty stumped. Thanks

Edit: the vibration and hum stop once I take my foot off the gas.
