Just tap the high beam, polarity doesn't matter for the solenoid. Does you low beam stay on with the high beam? US they do but don't know of on export models.

HID/LED Headlight Project

I'm currently stuck with an issue here.
The loom inside the lamp that links balast to bulb is damaged. I've read the whole thread, but I can't seem to find the procedure to get the loom out. I have the replacement loom in front of me, but can't figure a way to remove the old one and replace with the new one. It looks like it is fitted before sealing the plastic cover and front lens together.
How is the baking procedure with these?

Pre-heat @ 250F
Turn off oven then on a cookie pan for 10 min?

^^^^^ Glad you got them open!

Leaving the gym last night I snapped a quick picture of the beam against a wall ~20-25ft away. Unfortunately it was with my potato but a picture nonetheless. You can see the flare on the far edges of the beam right before the drop off. Everything is still running smoothly. Can't really see the color flicker it has at this distance.

The Panamera shroud would look good. Might be tough to squeeze in the high beam reflector. It's one of the larger shrouds. I'm guessing you're wanting to use halos too.

I removed my 2008 Halogen headlights. Bought a set of 2008 HID replica lights and swapped out the low beam projectors. While I was in there I added dedicated projectors for the high beams.

The headlights and fog lights made it through winter without any issues! Still going strong and I'm very proud of them.

Like I said before I have a set of OEM ones open but don't have any idea what I want to do with them yet... Ultimately I'd like to build them and sell them. I just need someone's ideas!!

Yup the high beam is a dedicated H9 halogen high beam projector. They came out of a Kia Cadenza courtesy of another member here. The DRL/turn signal is still the 3157 bulb.

Very clever haha
What parameters did you use to line up your HID?
I feel mine are shooting everywhere. I'd hate blinding people crossing over...

What I roughly used was: for every 25ft away from the headlights the beam drops 2-3in. The steps should be the same width apart as the projectors are from eachother (center to center). Pull up to a wall and take a few pictures.
