Help with differential

Need some technical help on my differential. I have a 2005 jeep cherokee limited w/quadratrac.

Trace the rear driveshaft aft until ends, the differential is right there- can't miss it.

Poor grammar is something up with which I shall not put.

Is the front diff in the front if you're facing backwards or forwards?

What about if I'm standing sideways but looking at the back? Then the back would be the front yes?

And if looking from the back then it's definitely in front of me..

Trying to find a youtube vid to clarify all this..
