Front wheel bearings?

I did wheels bearings while doing a fairly comprehensive overhaul of my 08 4.7. This was between April, and I mostly finished up in August, so I haven’t driven it too much yet. After only a couple thousand miles, the cheap Callahan front bearings are already making some noise. I torqued these to 100 ft lbs.

I knew I was taking a chance using cheap likely Chinese bearings so I just ordered a pair of Timkens to replace them. These have always been my go to, but we’re 3x the price of the Callahan. Just got them today, and the box indicates they’re made in China! Since when? One of their claims to fame aside from quality is that they were made in the US. Are these going to suck also? Was there something else I should have bought? I debated Moog, which is my suspension go to, but I’ve had some issues with some of their stuff on the Jeep too.

The geographic location where a part is made has no bearing (pun intended) on how good it is. That's down to the quality of the design, materials and QA checks.

Iím running WJBs now as replacements are needed. Really well priced on Rock Auto and made in the USA I believe. No issues so far .

Mevotech has a lifetime warranty line out..

They came out right after I killed one of their regular ones in about 13 months (12 month waranty)

Replaced the one side with a WJB and both are still quiet a year later..

If you're running spacers, a lifetime warranty on bearings is worth the extra cost up front..
