Ac button not working

Hi all.

In the centercon we have the buttons for ac on/off, heat in rear window and recirkulation of the air.
Theese three buttons stoped working for me.

Does anyone know what this can be?
Everything else works. Fan, menybuttons, lights.
It is just theese three that does not work.

Thanks

Doesn't work at all or light doesn't come on? They may be working but not lighting.

First rule of vehicle electronics: check your fuses.

Those buttons are lit with LEDs from factory, at least in the auto climate control. Less likely to go out than the crappy halogens everywhere else in the dash.

Thanks for the response.

They do not work at all actually.
I checked the fuses.
I am wondering about the circuitsboards over all the fuses under steeringweel.
There are two main connectors there.
It sounds a little strange that the fuses for all three functions would go out, but I will check them all again.

The A/C circuit board could also have a short or something. I imagine it would be cheap from a junkyard to test the theory or if you have a friend with a WH as well.

Again thanks you Badger.

I actually found the problem.

Something have happen with the box in the centerconsol, that is for the fan and theese three buttons.
It looks like the buttons no longer reach the circuitsboard.
I have to push really hard to start and stop the ac.
Now that is a strange problem, but atleast I know what it is.

Thank you again.

They're not difficult to remove and disassemble if you wanted to try and add something to the end of it. Add some fake plastic weld to it or super glue or whatever.
