ABS/ Traction Control with Lift Question

Does everyone with a lift press the traction control button to turn it off every time you drive?

I can't go around a corner without the ABS(?) kicking in. It's the worst trying to make 90° to jump into traffic.

Is there a fix to this other than turning it off all the time?

I'm running 265/70/17 on OME and have nOt re calibrated for the larger tires...

Is re calibrating my tire size the issue?

I thought that only affected the odometer and speedo...

OME MD here with 255/75R17 tires and no issues with any of the "safety" systems. Have you ever done your wheels bearings? A noisy bearing or old/dirty ABS sensor might cause it to be overly aggressive. Is it the same turning both ways or worse one way than the other?

Both hubs are new.

Happens turning both ways.

Does not happen with traction control turned off.

Happens on high speed turns sometimes like highway off-ramps, feels like its coming from the front outer side of turn, but trying to jump into traffic is the worst.

Exactly what @Lenny7 said, contact @Kolak and get you a SL EGR module to eliminate this problem. It's common with "most" lifted 2" and up GC's.

So I used the Jscan app ($28) and an ELM dongle to change tire size and now there's no signal from my front left wheel and ABS, traction and SERVICE ELEC BRAKE SYSTEM all displayed...

Going to have a poke around tonight but its weird the wheel signal disappeared right after I changed the tire size...

Will report any changes..

Yep I have a 06 Commander and have to turn it off every time I drive it's habit now The key is to hold it down until you hear a ding , if you just push it some reason it really doesn't turn it off but it shows off .

I did manage to activate the side mirrors tilt down when in reverse and one touch lane change (turn signal flashes 3 times with one touch) features, both of which I really like..

Live data shows the front left wheel isn't sending any signal, causing U0415, which is causing the front diff to be confused and throwing C141B. I think.

Strange that the wheel sensor quit right when I changed tire size (with Jscan app)...

I have an old sensor from a replaced hub that I'll try.

Did you check for codes before changing the tire size? I'm wondering if a bad sensor or wire was the problem all along.

There were no lights on or drivability issues before I ran the app but there could have been pending codes I guess.

I swapped the sensor last night and everything seems to be working now, no codes on the way to work, nothing pending and tire size set to 31.5"

Sweet!

But...

Noticed my coolant res was empty, wtf, there was a drop on the bottom corner of the rad. Couldn't see any leaks anywhere else so I guess the rad is leaking (?). Filled it up and its holding since last night anyway...

No rest for the wicked I guess....

That is the setup I have and haven't had any problems without it, other than being off about 3mph.
