275/60/20 on a WK with OME Lift

I just purchased a set of 2014 Overland 20" wheels and I'm looking to run a 275/60 (33") tire. Just ordered my OME HD lift yesterday (thanks Kolak for a great deal). Has anyone else tried this combo? This will be an appearance lift/tire combo (my wheeler is an LS2 powered 72 Commando) and will only see maybe 3500miles annually.
I understand that the pinch weld mod will have to be done as well as wheel spacers to account for the difference in backspace and tire width. I'm more interested in those with the OME lift and 33" diameter tires (regardless of wheel diameter) and what you think of the package.
I mowed thru both of the tire and wheel threads, very few with 33" and OME HD lift.

Probably should have put this on the end of one of the tire & wheel threads. If the moderator wants to move it that's good with me.
Also just found that Cooper AT3's come in a LT265/60/20, that may be the ticket as they are 32.5" diameter.

I was looking at doing the same thing except with srt8 20" wheels. I was going to use 285/55r20 duratracs. I was under the impression that I was going to have to modify the OME HD lift to accomplish this. The plan was to use ome hd springs all around, bilstein 5100s in front on lowest setting, bilstein 5125s in back, rustys poly spacer in the rear, rusty trac bar to keep it aligned, and JBA lifted control arms. I have seen a few pictures of just the ome hd and 33" tires and the wheel wells look very full. Attached are pictures of 20" wheels and 275/55r20 with ome hd if that helps.

I had initially thought that the 275/55 wouldn't have enough sidewall to suit me...but I'm warming up to that look..

Well after kicking it around for week and looking at every picture I could find of WK1 and WK2's with 33's I went ahead and bought the 275/60r20 Cooper ATPs(today was the last day of their rebate period). Should have them and the new lift installed in the next 10days so I'll post before and after pics and dimensions.

Still waiting on a couple more parts for the lift to arrive but I wanted to be sure the 1.25" spidertrax spacers were going to be enough to get the needed inside clearance and set the wheel face just at the fender line so I bolted up the new tire/wheel combo, wheels are 2014 Overlands (20"x8" with 6.75" backspacing) and the tires are 275/60r20 Cooper Discoverer ATPs, I measured the tires and they are 32.9". While they are obviously huge in the wheel wells with no lift I was glad to see that there was still some room left. You can see on the first pic that I jacked up the front to simulate the 3" of lift that the OME HD will provide. This will put the fender lip at 38" (was 35" with stock suspension position). I'm ready to get this lift on...I think it's gonna look great!

yeah, I'm stoked to get it on, but been stuck on work travel all week in Atlanta, and I'm doing a refresh on my Commando as well. I've got all the lift parts on hand, just need a good solid day to knock it out and get it aligned. Still considering an adjustable track bar for the rear..

Got a good start on installing my modified OME lift, I'm looking at the rear track bar, I know there's adjustable versions available but is there any reason why I can't just center the rear end and lengthen my existing track bar? Looks like it would be a piece of cake to cut, sleeve and reweld it..

Since I have the material on hand I'm going to do it, it'll only cost me an hour or so of my time. Got the pinch weld mod done and moved the TPMS sensor inboard a few inches. Instead of reusing the upper strut mounts and bump stops I bought new, upper mounts were only $25 each and came with new upper spring isolators and mounting hardware. I knocked out the studs, bored the holes and recessed/welded them to get the extra length I needed for the 3/8" spacers I made.
New struts are built up(compressing those springs is no joke) and got those installed last night, I took some comparison measurements from the factory strut to the OME strut and found that the OME strut is a 1/4" longer when measured from the clamping bolt location to the spring platform, so some of the lift comes from that, (I had thought it was all from the springs).
Added a few pics here: http://s1149.photobucket.com/user/LC...%20Lift?sort=6

Track bar stretch was a piece of cake, only needed 3/8" of additional length to center the rear end. For those who want to do this, a piece of 1" square tube fits inside the track bar tubing perfectly and makes the job easy.
