08 wk 3.0l rack and pinion help.

I need some help, my rack and pinion is leaking, leaks getting worse by the week and i will definitely need to replace it soon. Im looking for some input from other wk owners.

1. Can our wk rack and pinion be rebuilt? Would it be worth rebuilding?

2. Anyone have any upgraded rack and pinion system worth buying over stock/oem? I'm running a 2" lift with upgraded upper control arms and spacers to run 33" tires. I've always believed in putting in stronger parts when the originals fail.

3. If there isn't an upgraded rack and pinion system worth buying do any of you have any negative comments about the Cardon' brand over mopar? I've seen two options from rockauto. A cardone oem and mopar. Any reason for the large gap in price range ? The reman mopar is listed at $858.24 + $95.11 core charge vs a new cardone listed at $628.71 or a reman cardone listed at $245.75 + a $133.15 core charge.

Does anyone have any other options ?

I am living in northern Alberta Canada, all prices are listed in Canadian.

Did you ever get this solved? I've had good service from Cardone but not 100%. Usually bought rebuilt calipers.
