'08 3.7 V6 QT1, what gear oil do I need for diffs?

Correct me if I'm wrong but with the QT1 system I have open diffs all the way around. So, do I still need the friction modifier additive? The owner's manual doesn't specify, but I thought the additive was only for the limited slip diffs.

And with the V6 I definitely have the QT1, right? I don't have any buttons for low range, locking the transfer case, or anything like that.

Just want to make sure before I go replacing fluids. Thx.

Yes you have QT1 and you do not put friction modifier in your diffs

Manual will state 75w140, but if it were mine I'd be using 75w90.

Thanks for the link, seems like that info should be in the owner's manual.

Also wondering about why you'd go with 75w90, instead of what Jeep recommends.
