06 Commander 4.7L drivetrain noise!

My dad bought an 06 Commander and has replaced a few parts (needed to be done): front and rear wheel bearings, changed all fluids aside from transfer case (NP245) and transmission, front upper/lower control arms, front axleshafts, and front driveshaft CV joint.

There is a noise though that we cannot figure out. When driving, it can be heard both by accelerating and decelerating (to a point, that is). It cannot be heard OUTSIDE of the vehicle (I had my head hanging out every window, haha!) but only inside with the windows up (it can be heard with the windows down, but it 'matches' the wind noise, if that makes sense).

The noise itself sounds like a woosh woosh woosh noise... almost a grinding noise but not quite.

Any ideas where to start to look for that one?

Other then driving the vehicle on blocks and listening or spinning by hand..

-Alignment done after changing the LCAs ?

- QDII ? mopar friction modifier added to the diffs?

- check rear brakes for delaminated drum parking brakes inside the rotor hats. (hard to hear from the front of the vehicle)

- TC fluid level ok ?

The noise sounds like its coming from the rear. I forgot to say that we did change all the brakes and rotors as well. Did not change parking brakes though. TC fluid looked okay and was full. No friction modifier added as we did both the 'wheel spin test' and checked the VIN which showed open diffs. No alignment done yet.

The parking brake shoes are a well known problem with these and the lack or improper adjustment as well.
I know on the ZJ a bad rear outer axle bushing will make that kind noise but I don't think the WK has those. Bushings are in the pumpkin on these I believe.

...and check that the emergency brake cable is not rubbing on the driveshaft. Hope it is that simple.
