Back to Jeeps!

Hello everyone, just introducing myself.

My first vehicle was an '89 XJ 2 door sport, which I ended up lifting, throwing an NV4500 in, and breaking stuff...Good times!!

The last few years, I've been driving a 2004 V8 WJ with the Quadratrac II transfer case. I must say, that 4wd system is very impressive, but the vehicle just isn't fun and I feel it's "not me."

Roll to today, I'm back in a "real" Jeep again with a 1998 TJ, 4.0 5sp, on 33" BFG AT's. I l love it so far but obviously the gearing blows and that'll be changing soon!

Anyway, it's good to be back in Jeep that more readily receives a wave back

Eric

Thank you both! I actually just swapped in an 8.8 rear and got a hold of some bigger rubber on Rubicon Hard Rock wheels. Next is to work on some upward travel clearance 😁

The 8.8 was originally from a 2000 Explorer. I found this one on Facebook Marketplace from a guy who was stepping into 1-tons for his TJ, so it was already setup. It was pretty much plug and play! This 8.8 was loaded with 4.88 gears, OX Locker, chromoly shafts, c-clip eliminators, and the Artec truss. Only thing I really had to change was my parking brake cable to one from a ZJ.
