the hang up is traction. 12.50 is crapola in snow. i slide around like i have 4 snow saucers underneath me. i wanted a nice set of pizza cutters, but the 33" has gone extict untill feb or march.

i have been running a 33x12.50 on my taco for about 5 years and never had any problem in the snow. i was running the interco truxs mt which has a lot of siping so that could be why i didnt have any problems. i wouldnt count them out just look for a tire with good siping.

maybe i'm just used to the bite of a pick up truck with a plow mounted and a load of sand in the back. in comparison, my jeep is a joke. it will go in snow, but it's a far cry from what i'm used to and i beleive it to be the lightness of the jeep on a too wide of a footprint. glad your 12.50's keep you happy, anyone that has other sizes, glad they work for you too, but really just looking for pics. i can find lots of opinion threads elsewhere. thanks.

I have 33's on my 89 YJ and have no problem in the snow. Go with 33's and get them sipped at a local tire place. It may sound odd, but it really helps with traction by getting more rubber on the road.

I'm growing rather fond of driving a vehicle with the aerodynamic qualities of a brick.
